The Project

Bankjoy, an ambitious fintech startup, sought to significantly enhance its client relationships and industry visibility by launching its first-ever annual client conference, "Elevate." The CEO and Marketing Executive tasked me with creating a fully immersive brand experience, positioning Bankjoy as a leader and innovator within the digital banking space. My primary goals were to strengthen client engagement, showcase our latest product innovations, and drive deeper loyalty among current and prospective customers by delivering a polished, engaging, and highly professional event.

Role & Resources

As the Lead Designer and Creative Director for the conference, I was responsible for the event’s entire creative vision, execution, and delivery. Working closely with our Marketing Executive, Product Managers, and external event coordinators, I single-handedly developed the overall conference theme, visual identity, and cohesive design system applied across all event touchpoints—from pre-event digital promotions and email campaigns to on-site signage, presentation decks, and custom-animated video content.

Resources were lean, requiring creative flexibility and strategic planning. I collaborated extensively with Product Managers and the CEO to ensure all design elements aligned strategically with Bankjoy’s business objectives, product roadmap, and desired attendee outcomes.

Challenges & Results

Launching a first-of-its-kind industry conference presented significant challenges, particularly with limited resources, tight timelines, and high executive expectations. I faced the task of translating Bankjoy’s ambitious vision into an impactful, cohesive event brand identity, engaging attendees and differentiating us from competitors in a crowded fintech space.

Key challenges:

  • Creating a compelling visual theme that resonated with the target audience (financial institution executives, credit union leaders, and industry partners).
  • Executing high-quality, consistent branding across multiple digital and physical touchpoints with limited resources and a tight timeline.
  • Ensuring presentations and materials effectively showcased Bankjoy’s product roadmap and innovations, clearly aligning with strategic messaging.

Primary Deliverables:

  • A complete visual event identity, including a distinctive, contemporary conference logo, cohesive color palette, typography, and graphics designed specifically for both digital promotion and physical event materials.
  • Custom-designed slide decks, emails, and engaging social media assets to drive strong attendee interest and pre-event registrations.
  • Bespoke animated videos to introduce sessions and elevate Bankjoy’s keynote presentation, significantly enhancing audience engagement and perception of our brand's sophistication.

Results & Impact

The Bankjoy Elevate Client Conference was highly successful, exceeding internal expectations and garnering overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients and industry partners. Key measurable outcomes included:

  • Achieved a 92% attendee satisfaction rate, with participants rating the event as "Excellent" in post-event surveys.
  • Increased client engagement, leading to a 35% increase in product inquiries and demos scheduled post-conference.
  • Boosted Bankjoy’s brand visibility and Share of Voice across industry social media channels by over 50% during the event and in subsequent weeks.
